With Sony recently halving its launch numbers and Microsoft struggling with 360 launch availability, Nintendo of America has recently restated its intention to ship six million units by March of 2007
Nintendo of America released this official statement, "Wii is on track to ship in Q4. Nintendo plans to ship 6 million systems to retailers around the world between its launch in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the end of its fiscal year on March 31, 2007."
With details on a price and release date expected around September 14th at a Nintendo organized press event and Sony delaying its PS3 release in Europe, NoA is gaining a lot of momentum heading into its much anticipated Wii release.
