Ubi to publish Call of Juarez

Ubisoft today announced that it will publish a new FPS for the PC set in the Wild West.  [i]Call of Juarez[/i] will be developed by Techland, and will be released in North America and Germany this Summer.[p][i]Call of Juarez[/i] promises to put players in a true old west setting complete with brothels, shootouts, saloons and duels.  Players will get the chance to play as two opposing characters.  Ray is a retired gunslinger turned preacher, and Billy is an elusive man on the run trained by Native Americans.  The game will chronicle the cat-and-mouse game played by Ray and Billy.  Techland’s Chrome game engine will help immerse players by allowing them to use objects in the environment as weapons and tools..[p]“Call of Juarez is a tribute to the Wild West, the birthplace of the ‘shooter’,” said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “Call of Juarez is the first game to truly represent the Wild West with its engaging storyline, characters and gorgeous environments.
