THQ lands Constantine deal

By Quinton Miles

THQ and SCi Entertainment announced this morning an exclusive agreement naming THQ as the the North American publisher for the Constantine video game. Licensed by Warner Bros., Constantine is based on the DC Comics/Vertigo “Hellblazer” graphic novels featuring John Constantine, a man who has literally “been to hell and back”.

Players will assume the role of Constantine as he travels between the planes of Earth and “Hell L.A.”, introducing new enemies from the movie as well as new ones created just for the game. Following the script of the movie, you will encounter plenty of horrific artifacts including The Crucifier, the Holy Shotgun, and the Shroud of Moses.

Constantine will hit the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in February of next year, coinciding with the movies’ release.
