The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Posponed

Take-Two Interactive, publisher of [i]The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion[/i], has announced that the game will miss it?s expected release day of December 5th. [i]Oblivion[/I] has been officially delayed until the second quarter of Take-Two?s next fiscal year, some time between February and April of 2006. No firm date has yet been announced.

[i]Oblivion[/i], originally slated as a release title for Microsoft?s Xbox 360, was to be released simultaneously with the PC version. The game has slipped into the 360’s launch window which is a 14 week period starting from the system?s release date, which is Tuesday, November 22nd.

According to Take Two Interactive: ?We are moving the launch of [i]Elder Scrolls IV[/I] to our second quarter, based on Bethesda Softworks requiring additional development time to ensure the title meets gamers? high expectations for this popular franchise.? Both the Xbox 360 and the PC version are still planned for a coetaneous release for whenever the game is finished and shipped out.
