Samurai Xtreme Legends strikes gold

By Quinton Miles

KOEI announced earlier this morning that their Samurai Xtreme Legends expansion pack for Samurai Warriors has gone gold. While its main purpose is an expansion, the game can also be played alone without the original version of Samurai Warriors.

One of the big features for the expansion pack is the ability to use all 19 of the game’s characters in Free mode, along with a new story mode. In addition, the games new weapon system will now let players power up their tools of destruction by purchasing from a blacksmith or buying them outright. If that wasn’t enough, the developers went and redesigned the two player co-op modes too, so you now have the option of using separate Musou gauges along with using a single one.

Samurai Xtreme Legends will be available for the PlayStation 2 and will ship to retailers on November 9.
