Capcom Research and Development division chief Keiji Inafune, said recently in an interview with Japanese mag [i]Xbox 360ism[/i] (a one-time issue from the popular Japanese gaming magazine [i]Dorimanga[/i] ) that he hoped to make [i]Resident Evil 5[/i] simultaneously available for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. He also let slip that the next-gen [i]Resident Evil[/i] will have online components, but refused to speak more on the subject.
Inafune commented, ?We want to grow the [i]Resident Evil[/i] series into a multi-platform franchise, so we hope to release it simultaneously.? Capcom seems to want to make games that are blockbusters worldwide for both the 360 and PS3, which may be a difficult feat seeing as the launch period for the PS3 is not well known.
