Paradox Interactive announces digital distribution servic

Paradox Interactive, who has been happily providing us with PC games, told the world today that is was officially starting a digital distribution service known as Gamer's Gate. Since April of this years Gamer's Gate has existed in a trail state, but now it has blossomed into it's fully formed version. The service will be made available on a world wide basis and in 16 different languages. This program follows in the path of programs such as Valve's Steam service where players can obtain games without having to leave their home. Theodore Bergquist, CEO for Paradox Interactive, had these words to say about the activation of Gamer's Gate: “Gamer´s Gate has already been recognized on the international arena as a strong challenger to the world´s largest download service*. Based on industry feedback of the system and our own analysis of the market, we seem to be about 6-12 months ahead of most competitors.”

Bergquist had these final words on the program: “There is vast potential for Gamer´s Gate on the global arena. Digital distribution is on the verge of a major breakthrough as consumers demand faster and more convenient product delivery. That knowledge alone puts us one-step ahead of most other international players in the business, and we now have the platform to accommodate that. Adding user generated content along with several other planned services, will further increase the competitive advantage of Gamer´s Gate.”
MyGamer will continue to report on this and other stories as they become available.
