Oblivion goes to the Isles

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, which topped many "best of 2006" lists, is about to get even bigger – 30-plus hours bigger. British magazine PC Gamer reports that "The Shivering Isles," a new expansion pack for the massive role playing game will be released for PC in the second Quarter of 2007.

The Isles will include new creatures (including The Gatekeeper – a character made up of stitched together body parts), dungeons and most importantly new quests in the expansion's namesake – The Isles – a new area divided into two separate, prophetically nam ed areas – Mania and Dementia. According to the magazine one of the new quests sees you solving a mystery in one of the new towns, where every citizen has a look-a-like.

As of now, the expansion is only set for PC release, but it is highly possible the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of Oblivion will see their own trip to The Isles sometime this year.
