Electronic Arts announced today that Snoop Dogg’s remix of The Doors’ “Riders On The Storm” will be an an exclusive track on the [i]Need For Speed Underground 2[/i] soundtrack. Focusing on a formula that will display all kinds of music, the in game sounds will have a mix of rock, hip hop, and techno that will let racers hit the road with up to 26 songs.
“This is one of the most exciting announcements in music this summer. Bringing together the haunting vocals of Jim Morrison and the timeless music of The Doors with the cool energy of Snoop Dogg is revolutionary. And if you want to hear the song … forget radio, forget CDs — it’s ONLY in the game,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Audio at EA.
Along with Snoop’s remix, the soundtrack will feature new music from Chingy Mudvayne, and Terror Squad to name a few.
