I am sitting here watching a buddy of mine play [i]Madden 06[/i](yes the Madden came out today,( hence the reason for this article ) and instead of actually playing along with him I am sitting here typing to you all informing you that it comes out today, although if you really are a Madden fan then you have had this date marked on your calendar for quite awhile, because that is just the nice guy that I am. So here it goes?
EA Sports has announced that [i]Madden NFL 06[/i] has hit stores today. To get the game out ASAP, many stores pulled off a ?Midnight Launch? for the title that exceeded last years [i]Madden 2005[/i] reservations.
The new recipe this year for [i]Madden 06[/i] is about offense, with the most noticeable addition being he new QB Vision Control. You notice this feature right off the bat when you are on offense and notice a expanding highlighted portion of the field coming from your Quarterback, hence it being QB Vision Control. What it lets you do is scan the field, look off defenders, and make better throws within this unique field of vision. Another noticeable addition is the Truck Stick, the offenses answer to last years Hit Stick. The Truck Stick Control allows you to basically do what it is titled, truck your opponents to the ground. By allowing you to put that shoulder down you can put fast emerging defenders on their butts.
This years [i]Madden[/i] also offers all new modes such as NFL Superstar and being the only video game to offer fantasy capabilities featuring EA SPORTS Fantasy Football integration for the first time.
[i]Madden NFL 06[/i] is now on the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube(TM), Nintendo DS(TM), and Game Boy(R) Advance. PC will be available August 17 and PSP launches on September 20. Madden NFL 06 is rated “E” (Everyone) by the ESRB and has an MSRP of $49.99 for the PlayStation 2 console , Xbox, Nintendo GameCube and PSP, $39.99 for PC and Nintendo DS, $29.99 for Game Boy Advance.
