Konami Set for Pre-E3 Show Live Stream

Konami announced that GameSpot, part of CBS Interactive, will live stream its third-annual “Pre-E3 Show 2013” beginning at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET on June 6th on www.gamespot.com. The show will also stream via the GameSpot app on Xbox LIVE.

To promote the show, special tune-in announcements will air on CBS Television stations in eight major markets, reflecting the first time a gaming manufacturer’s online news event will be promoted on television stations across the country.

During this year’s show, KONAMI will update fans and gaming enthusiasts for the third year in a row by releasing company news, game trailers and exclusive interviews all prior to E3. The company’s Pre-E3 show will provide insight into upcoming products from its social games studios, feature behind the scenes footage and interviews for the next addition to the PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER franchise with Producer Kei Masuda, and provide the inside scoop on Hideo Kojima’s next title in the METAL GEAR SOLID series, METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN. Exclusive first-time access with developer MercurySteam and a brand new gameplay trailer for CASTLEVANIA: LORDS OF SHADOW 2 will be unveiled, in addition to other major company announcements.

“KONAMI is bringing back the Pre-E3 show once again this year, with the biggest and best content the company has to offer,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We have partnered with the best in the industry, CBS Interactive and Gamespot, to provide our fans updates on some of their favorite franchises, all in advance of the world’s marquee video game conference.”

“E3 is the biggest event in the gaming industry and GameSpot will cover every aspect of the event online, on mobile and now on-air with a pre-E3 show that we will produce and which will air on CBS Television stations nationwide,” said Ben Howard, Vice President of Programming for GameSpot. “In advance of our special, we will dedicate several of the promotions specifically to the KONAMI Pre-E3 show, to drive tune in for their event and to help bring game enthusiasts closer to one of the biggest players in the gaming industry.”

The promos featuring KONAMI will air on CBS television stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Seattle and Sacramento, as well as on CW stations in San Francisco, Atlanta and Seattle starting May 27th.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event is one of the largest cultural events held in Los Angeles. Computer and video game companies, business partners, media, and industry analysts from over 90 countries will converge on the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 11th, 2013 to June 13th, 2013 to attend this year’s E3.
