KOF2006 Secret Characters Announced

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the King of Fighters 2006, SNK has just released the list of playable secret characters available in their upcoming 3d fighting game.

Armor Ralf (a higher-defense Ralf who can’t block)- Ralf Jones is one of the men one-eyed mercenary Heidern trusts most. Proficient in the use of all weapons, he has returned safely from battlefields with the lowest of survival rates without even so much as a knife, using his well-tempered and powerful body as a weapon. Ralf fears nothing, often plunging into the jaws of death without concern for personal safety.

B. Jenet (the she-pirate from Garou: Mark of the Wolves)- Actually Jennie Behrn, daughter of the Behrn family, an influential international cartel, B. Jenet came to loathe her luxuriant but tedious life and left home to form the Reeling Knights pirate band, which vowed to steal for the weak and poor.  In her dress with its skull-and-crossbones pattern, B. Jenet plays the role of a grown woman, but she can't avoid her childish tendencies.

Fio (the four-eyed Metal Slug heroine)- Fio’s real name is Fiolina Germi, and she is heiress to Italy's wealthy House of Germi. Since her family requires its heirs to serve in the military, she entered the army. An error landed her in the Sparrows Special Ops Squad, and sent her to the front lines.  Fio always says, "It's OK, I'm fine." At a glance she appears a bit too prim, but she's a hardened veteran of many conflicts.

Hattori Hanzo (the black ninja from Samurai Showdown)- A ninja who serves the Tokugawa shogunate, Hanzo leads a ninja band active in the shadows of history to preserve the old feudal order. An ideal ninja, he possesses dazzling physical abilities and remains steadfastly devoted to his duty.  He is taciturn and rarely makes his feelings known, but he is deeply fond of his family.

Hyena (the commentator from Maximum Impact)- Hyena is Duke's henchman. His eloquence has helped him survive in the underworld. Once Duke's lackey, Hyena went into hiding when Mephistopheles collapsed and Duke vanished, but since he spun his abilities to the underworld media, he got an invite to KOF. Now, with a new curl in his bangs, he heads for the event.  Just where will his abilities take him in the end?

Jivatma (the new boss)- Jivatma is the leader of Kusiel, sub-syndicate of the secret syndicate Addis, and a member of Addis's top leaders, The Children of Kokaviel, but his origins and history are veiled in mystery.  His sweetly polite voice belies the phony courtesy of the conceited man nicknamed The Dark Talon. He has frightening abilities, using a fighting style he boasts is punishment to the weak. He faces fighters who make it to the finals.

Kim Kaphwan (the Korean Thae Kwon Do expert)- Kim is the national treasure of South Korean tae kwon do, widely known for his strength, his noble character as one who reviles evil, and his many disciples.  Aware of his obligation to the young, Kim appointed Chae to enter KOF, but unable to forget the hot battles against strong foes, he folded and entered the tournament.

Classic Kyo Kusanagi (the original version of the KOF hero)- The true heir to the Ancient Martial Arts of Kusanagi, Kyo surpassed his father at merely 15. Seeking great strength he traveled to test his abilities, but as a result remains a high-school student, having failed to meet attendance requirements.  He has a strong-willed girlfriend, and an annoying groupie named Shingo Yabuki.

Lily Kane (Billy Kane’s younger sister)- Billy Kane's kid sister, Lily enjoyed a peaceful life with her brother in the English countryside after he quit the underworld. Upon learning Billy has returned to fighting, she pursued him to call him back to the straight and narrow.  Unlike her mad-dog older brother, Lily is a tenderhearted girl who detests fighting and violence.

Mr. Karate (Ryo, the master of Kyokugen Karate, but now older)-  Ryo Sakazaki, one of the most renowned karate masters worldwide, has used his influence to popularize Kyokugen Karate, created by his father, Takuma, and help it grow around the world.  Now 30, Ryo’s power has not waned as a fighter. In fact, his ability is reaching true maturity. He continues his stoic training to set an example for his students.

Nightmare Geese (the shadow of the powerful Fatal Fury boss)- The evil genius known in international crime circles, and ruler of the American city Southtown, Geese was a first-rate fighter till Terry Bogard, avenging the death of his adoptive father, defeated him and Geese chose to end his own life.  Even now Geese’s fearful power remains deeply engraved in the minds of those who knew him, and manifests itself as a vile nightmare.

Ninon Beart (Mignon’s grim sister)- The kid sister of Mignon Beart, Ninon is a cool nihilist, unlike her spontaneous older sister. Mignon insists magic exists to benefit people, while Ninon believes it's no more than a power tool that she doesn't hesitate to use as she pleases.  To prove she's a superior witch to her sister, Ninon surreptitiously joins the King of Fighters.

Richard Myer (the classic Fatal Fury character)- Richard is a vagabond fighter who popped up one day in Southtown. An expert in the Brazilian fighting art of capoera, he spent his days street fighting to popularize the art.  In recent years he's devoted himself to the management of the Pao Pao Cafe, which he owns, and after a long break he's decided to enter the ring as a fighter once again.

Wild Wolf (the King of Fighters 2003 and Garou version of Terry)- Terry Bogard, The Legendary Wolf, defeated Geese Howard and Wolfgang Krauser. A decade has passed since then, but Terry has not lost his fangs for battle–instead he's increased his potency.  While devoting days to the development of his disciple and adopted son, Rock Howard, Terry continues to keep his own fangs sharp, as well.
