History Channel Hosts Brothers In Arms Documentary

Ubisoft, Gearbox Software, and The History Channel recently announced that a Brothers In Arms-inspired documentary on World War II will premiere on The History Channel. The two-hour special, billed of course as ?Brothers in Arms,? is produced by Foglight Entertainment for The History Channel, and will air on Sunday, December 18th at 8 pm ET/PT.

The Brothers In Arms video game series ? currently including Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood ? depict the experiences of a squad in the 101st Airborne, 502nd Parachute Infantry during the first days of the Normandy invasion. The documentary will focus on the 101st Airborne Division, 502nd Parachute Infantry?s exploits in Normandy, from June 6 through June 13, 1944. The documentary will use in-game footage for walk- and flythroughs of the battlefields where the 502nd have fought. Coupled with interviews with veterans of the 502nd, firsthand accounts by French citizens and historians, reenactments, rare photos, and never-before-seen archival footage, the documentary aims to tell the story of the 5-0-Deuce as never seen before. The special is hosted by actor Ron Livingston, of Band of Brothers fame, on location from the site of the Allied landing in Normandy.
