Half-Life 2 Coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3

At a press event for Electronic Arts, current distributors of Valve's Half-Life 2 (except for over Steam), Gabe Newell dropped plans for what's next for the Half-Life series – a version of Half-Life 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. These new versions for the next-generation consoles will come with plenty of content, as not only Half-Life 2 will be included, but also Episode One, Episode Two, and two new titles, Portals and, shocker of shockers, Team Fortress 2.

Team Fortress 2's art has been updated to reflect a more cartoonish art style, and the overall feel is that of a ‘60's spy flick. Portals, meanwhile, is intended to be a puzzle game where players use a portal-generating device to get around obstacles and defeat enemies.

These two versions of Half-Life 2 are expected to launch alongside Half-Life 2: Episode Two's Steam launch, which should be near the end of the year. Stay with MyGamer for updates.
