Flatout 2 hits the 500,000 mark.

You might think that after you play one racing game, you've played them all. But, every once and awhile, a company comes around and makes a truly unique and innovative racing game that pushes the genre in the right direction. [i]Flatout 2[/i], the sequel to the hugely successful [i]Flatout[/i], has now sold over 500,000 copies and clearly showed it's dominant position in the video game industry.

Not only has Flatout 2 sold over 500,000 copies worldwide, but highly acclaimed gaming media such as IGN.com and G4TV's X-play show have given [i]Flatout 2[/i] awards for Best PS2 Racing Game of 2006 and Best Racing Game of 2006.

The next installment to the [i]Flatout[/i] series, titled [i]Flatout: Ultimate Carnage[/i], is scheduled for release in 2007 for the X-Box 360. All of this can only mean one thing; with all of the positive press coverage about [i]Flaout: Ultimate Carnage[/i] will, without a doubt, live up to it's predecessors name
