Atari releases and ships Bullet Witch to stores.

Atari, your very old friend and mine, has now released it's Bullet Witch title for the Xbox 360 out to stores all across America today. Bullet Witch, in case you don't already know, allows players to assume the rather fetching and obscenely powerful spellcaster known as Alicia in her battle against the creepy looking supernatural entities that are currently plaguing the world.

Developed by the Japanese firm Cavia and published jointly by Atari and the Japanese firm AQ Interactive Bullet Witch will send the player against the forces of darkness armed with her juiced up collection of spells and her other weapon, a very long and hefty looking firearm which has been dubbed the gun rod and can be used in a variety of roles depending on the combat situation involved.

Jeremiah Cohn, the Product Manager of Atari, stated that the company was “ excited to bring this action-packed shooter to the Xbox 360.” He also went on to say that “ Bullet Witch offers exactly what fans have come to expect from a next-generation gaming experience. Cavia has designed a game that offers all the successful elements of a next-gen title including sophisticated weaponry, destructible environments, downloadable bonus content coupled with a captivating storyline that bring gamers an extremely intense and exciting game."

And intense and exciting it is. The trailers that depict Alicia's casting of her Thunder spell are, quite frankly, things that have to seen to be truly appreciated. Media for the game will be made available for download on Xbox Live marketplace very soon and you can also see information on this and other Atari products at their official site at www.atari.com.

Good gaming, my friends.
